RainStock is an intelligent cistern designed by Greennotech Solutions to optimise the collection and storage of rainwater on extensive livestock farms. This automated system guarantees an efficient and sustainable supply for livestock, improving water management on rural farms.

Who is it aimed at?

How it works

Thanks to gravity and an asphalt layer on the ground of the property, rainwater is collected in a tank at ground level. The water remains stored, protected from the sun’s rays and animals, until it is needed to supply the animals in summer. Thanks to a photovoltaic module and a battery system, the device is self-sufficient, supplying water to the animals in an automated way after identification thanks to electronic ear tags. This identification allows for an efficient use of the available water, as well as reducing the interaction between livestock and wildlife.
